9999 Jim McBee Name a Price Wanted: Good, used Main and Jib sails for club racing…no more than 3 to 5 seasons on them. I would prefer North Sails. However, Dieball Sails would also be acceptable. Let me know what you have, how old they are, and a ball park price for them.
934 Perry Cameron Louisville, KY $6,200 obo 1984 Customflex. I spent 4 years meticulously restoring this boat. The core material on bottom of the boat was replaced along with the core material in the trunks. No corner was cut. I also restored the top deck and removed the uncomfortable ridges. The finish on the top deck is sprayed on gel coat. It is strong, light, rigid, comfortable and beautiful. The only thing I have yet to do is restore the outside of the hull, but the old gel coat isn't too bad. Most of the hardware and lines are new. Everything is rigged double ended as shown in the rigging roundup section of the Highlander website. There are two sets of sails in reasonable condition minus the spinnaker. The 1 spinnaker I have is very old and in need of replacement. The trailer is a tee-nee with custom fit bunks. There are two nicely fared aluminum centerboards that come with the boat. The rudder has been faired to spec and coated with carbon fibre. Over all this is a very nice boat for the price. Phone 317-294-0545 or email. 508 Dan Hyslop Warwick, RI $3,000 1967 D&M fiberglass Highlander, painted wooden benches and kick-up rudder, aluminum mast and boom. Main, jib and spinnaker plus a spare main, aluminum centerboard, custom Sailor's Tailor cover, lifting bridle, anchor, two paddles, internal outhaul and a windex. Trailer with bearing buddies and winch. Restored by a local Highlander enthusiast, my wife and I bought it this summer to learn to sail. We love it but are upgrading to a Catalina 22 because our small kids have trouble spending more than a couple hours on an open boat and that just isn't enough time for us to explore Narraganset Bay. Previous owner faired the bottom and re-cored the deck. I added an outboard bracket to help us get through the channel at the boat launch, but I prefer to sell the outboard separately. May be able to deliver to a buyer in the Midwest near I-80 or I-90 in early November. More images at http://imgur.com/a/LIHqy even more available on request. (401) 533-6074 photo_1 photo_2
