Eligibility
Highlander National Championship-open to all dues paying members of the Highlander Class
Highlander Masters Championship-open to all dues paying members 55 and older
Highlander Womens Championship-open to women dues paying members, wives and children of dues paying members
Highlander Junior Championship-open to all juniors 21 and under
Highlander Classic Boat Championship-open to all dues paying members registered for Nationals with D & M or Durabilt boats

Registration and Fees

Highlander National Championship Registration $170.00
Registration after June 30, 2008 $190.00
Highlander Masters Championship $15.00
Highlander Women’s National Championship $10.00
Highlander Nationals Junior Championship $10.00
Highlander Classic Boat Championship $5.00
A 10% add on will be charged for all non US Sailing Members (Bring your cards)

Sunday Picnic Dinner $10.00 (age 10 and under $6.00)
Tuesday Barbecue Dinner and Entertainment $15.00 (age 10 and under $9.00)
Thursday Banquet $20.00 (age 10 and under $10.00)

Lunches available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday $6.00/ bag

Free Camping on the LNYC grounds in the designated camping areas

RACING RULES AND GENERAL REGULATIONS

The event will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, the rules of the Highlander Class and the Sailing Instructions available at formal check in and final registration at LNYC

Scoring
Scoring will be in accordance with Article VI Paragraph 11 of the Highlander Class Bylaws
This modifies the Racing Rules of Sailing Appendix A

Trophies and Awards
Trophies will be awarded as per Article VI paragraph 13 of the Highlander Class Bylaws
The Classic Boat Event will have trophies for the first three places

Schedule of events

	Saturday July 19	0900 to 1700 measurement and registration

	Sunday July 20	0900 to 1700 measurement and registration
		1200 Skippers Meeting National, Masters and Classic Boat Events
		1255 Warning, Practice Race and Masters Championship (3 races Scheduled)
		1730 Highlander Class Annual Meeting
		1830 or as soon as possible after the annual meeting Picnic Dinner at LNYC (Reservations Please)

	Monday July 21	0855 Warning. Three races scheduled back to back, Classic Boat Event to be run concurrently with
		the Championship Event, Fleet split determined after the races

	Tuesday July 22	0855 Warning, Three races scheduled for both divisions (no more than 9 races total for the event)
		1830 Barbecue Dinner and Entertainment

	Wednesday July 23	0855 Warning, Three races scheduled for both divisions ( a total of 9 races are scheduled for the
		Championship Division and the Presidents Division)

	Thursday July 24	0855 Warning, Makeup for any races not completed up to 7 races, skippers meeting for the Junior’s
		and women’s events
		0955 Warning, junior’s and women’s events subject to completion of National Championship Event
		1800 Awards Banquet

	Friday July 25	Makeup day for the Women’s and Junior’s Championship, if needed.Schedule changes will be posted
		the evening before on the “Official Bulletin Board”
